Join our mission to #CloseTheGap

At Reconomy Connect, we’re on a mission to close the circularity gap, ensuring that where possible, resources are conserved, recycled and re-used.

Reconomy’s #CloseTheGap campaign looks at the circularity gap to see the difference between the world we have now and the world we could have. It is important for every business to actively work to repair, reuse and recycle to prevent the creation of waste.

Right now, over 90% of the materials we extract from the Earth every year are wasted. We take, we use, we throw away. This is the circularity gap – the space between the world we have and the world we could create. One where resources don’t end in landfill, where waste is a failure of imagination, not a fact of business.

#ThinkCircular

#ThinkCircular is Reconomy's mindset towards everything we do. We reject the linear 'take, make, dispose' process and embrace circularity, keeping more resources in use. This reduces resource dependency, carbon emissions and allows us to conserve nature while ensuring economical sustainability.

#CloseTheGap

#CloseTheGap is the movement. It's the difference between the world we have now, and the waste-free world we could have. If we #ThinkCircular, we can work together to #CloseTheGap and make circularity easier and more accessible to businesses.

#MoveTheDate

#MoveTheDate is the consequence. Earth Overshoot Day is the date when demand for natural resources exceeds what the planet can do in year. If we #ThinkCircular to #CloseTheGap, we can #MoveTheDate, which is critical to preserving natural resource, reducing emissions and conserving nature.

Here’s how we can work with you to #CloseTheGap

At Reconomy Connect, we’re on a mission to close the circularity gap, ensuring that where
possible, resources are conserved, recycled and re-used. By closing the circularity gap and keeping
resources in use for longer, we’re helping to #MoveTheDate.

Last year, Reconomy moved the date by an incredible 12 minutes!
